What Customers Say About Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP2B for System Builders [OLD VERSION]:

Aside from that it was a almost a set it and forget it type of situation. As said before the installation was simple to do and the only hard or confusing part was selecting the FAT or the NTFS quick or not option; also remembering what was the partition (the one that says bootcamp). I highly recommend it. The disc arrived exactly as said by the company and easy to install. Although the product key was on the produce wrap; is was peel able and placed on the disc cover.

I was initially apprehensive when I saw the packaging boilerplate (something to the effect of "to be installed on a new PC only"), but the installation onto a new MacBook was effected with nary a hiccup, and my wife, who like any sentient being of breeding and discernment, prefers the Mac OS, can now boot into Windows for recourse to WordPerfect, which dominates the legal profession still, and to sundry other Windows-only programs she might require now and again. I join the other reviewers who have posted positive experiences installing this version on a Macintosh platform.

It works flawlessly. I use this version of Windows on a Mac with Parallels 4 to code in visual studio 2008.

No problems so far. It seems to do very well on my Mac running under program that allows both Windows and Mac OS on it. Just great, was worried about OEM with possible conflicts and wanted a complete box of XP instead. Went ahead with this after reading a review on your site about a person who used it the same as I wanted to with no problems.

When I initially started installation you come to a screen that requires that you select choices using function keys. Brought this for my Intel iMac based on the comments of other Mac people who installed this OEM software. I've used macs for years any finally learned what the fn key is used for. My function keys did not work, until, I discovered that I had to set them to keypress function #s rather than volume up/down screen brightness up/down. It was no sweat upgrading to SP3 on the Microsoft site. One word of caution to others who install this software on Macs.
